Natal Venus in Aquarius

With your natal Venus in Aquarius, this winter air sign will blend with the planet of affection, giving to it a lot of eccentric characteristics and making it rather unpredictable. Venus is generally governing pleasure and what attracts us, attachment to material things and subconscious urges to claim and make something our possession. It rules what we appreciate and brings us comfort, and of course feelings that can be described under the category “love”. Aquarian energy will make the native a free spirited and spontaneous person, who will frequently prefer to be independent rather than commit to one relationship. This placement will create a person who searches uniqueness in his significant others, and can frequently get bored if he spends too much time with someone.

Aquarius is the eleventh sign of the zodiac, and has planet Uranus as its ruling celestial body. Aquarius is also the natural ruler of the eleventh house, which rules friends, groups of people and any type of social organizations. In addition, it governs higher hopes and dreams. The old ruler of Aquarius, before the planet Uranus was discovered is considered to be Saturn, which still remains as the co-ruler and should also be taken under consideration on a secondary level. In general, Venus in Aquarius individuals will be rather active in their social life, many times preferring to offer their love towards their friends and groups they belong to, rather than one individual. Their behaviors and desires can be rather erratic, and feelings towards people changeable. When Venus is close to the beginning of the sign, many Saturnian characteristics may cool down their ability to show affection, and this can make their relationships have hints of coldness – just like a Capricorn Venus can give too. Still, this does not affect how they view the social system around them, becoming quite idealists and being capable of falling in love with some higher cause that includes groups of people.

In the sign of Aquarius, Venus is in peregrine condition. Peregrine is a rather neutral condition, where a celestial body does not function very potently (as it does when in domicile or in exaltation), nor is very weak (as it does when in detriment or in fall). Venus has no real problems when in Aquarius, except from those that it may create to other people – mostly due to the unpredictable behaviors that such a native may manifest in the area of love. Otherwise, this placement may grant pioneering ways of perceiving affection, probably echoes of what is to come in the future for the masses and how we will shift collectively to new ways of love. Such people experience love as an universal feeling, placing less borders between the I and the Us, and can often be misunderstood – mostly because they are still ahead of the masses. Additional information about Venus’ potency in each sign can be read in the article about Venus’ Essential Dignities.

We should note that Venus needs around a month to move to a next sign, and is the second quickest moving planet, as it is located very near the Sun. Also, it cannot be more than two signs away from the sign where the natal Sun resides in. Once per year and a half, Venus has a period of retrograde motion, where it moves backwards for apparently 40 days in the natal chart. Venus is impersonated by the ancient Greek god Aphrodite, who was the goddess of love, pleasure and beauty. Also, she is strongly connected to procreation, and naturally represents the divine feminine as an archetype (together with the Moon as it is the one side of the Sun-Moon dual axis).

Venus in Aquarius natives will adore flirting and playing, and will frequently have fun around and be social butterflies. Yet, when love hits them on their head like a hammer, they will jump in this whirlpool, trying to get the utmost of this experience. Naturally, diving too deep in such extremes may cause such feelings to burn out quickly, as boredom can follow and any promise of new thrills will catch their attention and drive it towards another person. Curiously enough, social norms and what other people say or think about them will not stop an Aquarius Venus from behaving as he desires, which in turn makes them even more unpredictable. Unfortunately, this can make them major heart-breakers, yet on the other hand they have every rights to follow their urges – even if it means letting some people down.

Venus in Aquarius people will always prefer unconventional relationships, even totally non-defined ones. They will frequently operate a lot better when they do not feel restricted by stereotypes, and this is why they will not like those types of bonding that make a relationship official. Many times, even not talking with their significant other about the structure of their relationship and possible future outcomes, will make the bond more stable and lengthier. After all, they like it when things are spontaneous; this adds up to their libido and they can become inspired more easily when every single day defines the future of the next day. Planning in the long-term will simply make them feel pressured – the best way is to let things evolve by themselves. Indeed, Venus in Aquarius will eventually find some radically pioneering ways to establish an affair. The more freedom it has to express itself, the easier it will discover some alternate pattern of establishing love.

One thing is for certain about Venus in Aquarius: these fellas perceive love from the point of a visionary. This might have some complications when trying to be applied to reality through pragmatism, yet it definitely promises a unique ride. With this placement, one can experience love without rules, unconditional and accepting the other individual as he is. Naturally, the Aquarian energy makes such individuals attracted to people that both think out of the box, and even have a strange appearance. Expect a Venus in Aquarius person to be attracted to eccentric people, while it also favors attraction towards people of the same sex or gender-fluid. This type of Venus likes to break borders, considering the other person as a soul rather than a being who has a gender. In addition, as Aquarius is responsible for the 11th house which includes friends, these relationships may concentrate less on the carnal level and sex, and more on the intellectual level. After all, it is common causes and visions that make such people blend with others, slightly diminishing the importance of personal pleasures and empowering common actions towards higher goals.

Having an Aquarius Venus as a beloved one is one of the most easy-going experiences one can have. They will not get jealous, or elsehow radiate toxic emotions (except of course if other placements and aspects dictate the opposite). They are not selfish, and do not require from their partners to be politically correct. An Aquarius Venus accepts his significant other the way he is, and is usually attracted exactly to that real self. Any possible attempt to show a better – yet fake – face to such a native will probably just make him less interested in the other person. Indeed, when they have a lover, they first feel him as a friend. And friends show their real face more easily than lovers.
A good trait that this placement can grant, is the possibility of making your higher dreams come true. As we already mentioned, Aquarius is ruling the 11th house, which is responsible for dreams and goals whose success is beyond our imagination. The benefic planet of Venus can gift more than a bunch of luck, concerning these matters. Thus, do not be afraid of dreaming big, and if you also fight for it in the material reality – you will have strong possibilities of success.

Naturally, this placement favors all type of groups and organizations, and can make feelings of love evolve towards such systems. Such natives will enjoy a lot being in such surroundings, gaining a lot more joy than passing time with single individuals. One can say, that a Venus in Aquarius person can be collectively in love with such a group, selflessly offering not only their time but also the deepest parts of their souls.

Venus in Aquarius people can be a lot less egocentric than they should, a natural outcome wherever Aquarius is involved. This can make them not care so much about their physical appearance and clothes. You will frequently see them choosing alternative and hippie-like clothes, which will even visually state that they are also against the concept of wealth. Indeed, as Venus is the planet most connected with wealth and money, such natives seem to not care about it so much. A big part of their money will be spent on group activities, while also on causes they believe in.

When an Aquarius Venus is well aspected in a natal chart, the native can be very lucky in the life area that the sign of Aquarius rules. We should not forget that Venus is considered to be the most benefic planet after Jupiter. It will bring unexpected pleasant events concerning the house where it resides, and generally help things flow easily. On the contrary, bad aspects to Venus can bring quite a lot of problems mostly connected with overindulging in pleasures. Also, when the darker traits of Venus are awakened by difficult natal aspects, the Aquarius Venus person may develop problematic spending traits. Challenging aspects may bring poverty, as the native may be totally uninterested in his finances.

In case you have this natal placement, be sure to keep an eye on your income and expenses, because tour erratic patterns concerning finances do not help gaining economic stability. Unfortunately, money is needed to live decently, and even if you do not care about a prosperous life, you should try to have at least a little bit of control over this subject. On the contrary, your irresponsibility concerning this matter may indeed create problem to other people – your behavior can in the end make you a financial burden to people of your surroundings. Thus, if you indeed crave for freedom, you should be obtaining it without other people carrying on their shoulders the responsibility of your own finances. This can only hurt back through deterioration of your relations with other people.

I have Venus in Aquarius in the 2nd house and none of this is true for me. I’m pretty vanilla as relationships go and I have stopped pursuing any relationships since 2008 only because I cannot seem to find a partner who is steadfast and true, honest and understands my introverted nature. People react weirdly to me. I often feel like I am Alice in Wondeland. I get picked on a lot but I don’t have to start anything for it to happen. I also seem to have a lot of problems making money which is weird since this is supposed to be a good placement for that sort of thing. I don’t know. Maybe my chart is wrong. I don’t have anything in my 11th house except the part of fortune which is in Scorpio.

I don’t know if I have the right to tell you this, as I am just an amateur but I have read somewhere that Uranian influence in the second house usually means that you cannot make money in a regular job. Not in a nine-to-six kind of job. It must be something irregular or weird. Being an astrologer would fit the bill nicely. Or doing something through Internet, like leading a group. Or some other kind of group work. And, of course, your fortune can change quite unexpectedly. You possess the quality of the planet you have in the second house. So you probably have beauty and charm. But your Venus being in Aquarius must give you an eccentric vibe as well. So you attract weirdness or are weirdly attractive. Did you know that Lewis Carroll was an Aquarius? I hope it helps.

Thanks but no charm and I wouldn’t call this face beautiful. I kind have figured that the 9-5 thing isn’t working but the other options are not things I want to do. People give me a hard time in an office setting and I attract weirdoes, narcissists and other troublemakers which causes me to quit which messes up my income for a while until my Sun trine Jupiter works things out. I have Mars in Capricorn in 1st and Saturn in Taurus in 5th and Pluto in Virgo in 9 so I am pretty grounded, serious and I like routine. I am not a group leader at least I don’t feel like one. I tried teaching preschool special ed and after almost a decade I had to leave for my mental health’s sake. I just wish I could make some money working from home but it’s slim pickings. I would be an astrologer but I’d feel funny taking money for this. I hope I figure this out before I get too old.

If you have Capricorn in the first house it means the transiting Saturn is crossing your Ascendant at the moment or already in the first house. That is the time when you don’t really know who you are or what to choose. Like you are a baby again. That is a really tough time, speaking from experience. When Saturn will go into the second house you will feel a bit better and more grounded money-wise. Even if there are some money problems you will feel like you are finally moving somewhere and not just walking somewhere in the dark. It seems that there’s new you being born at the moment. And then transiting Saturn will hit your Mars in Capricorn and transiting Uranus will go over your Saturn in the 5th. To me it looks like you will get new and very unexpected job opportunities in the near two years. Maybe even working abroad. Have you tried body work? Like massages, for instance? And with Saturn in the 5th you should really try sculpting, giving shape to things can be very rewarding and with Venus in the second you have a natural gift for it, maybe even a genius😊I know other people with Venus in Aquarius. They can give freedom to be who you are to those they love. That is a great gift.
